We're getting closer to hunting season every week, especially when you consider possible delays in ordering/shipping. Got anything new coming for this season? I just bought a new residence so I'm kind of sidelined on knives for awhile. However, I'd love to hear what non-broke folks might be buying!

This doesn't bode well for the economy. Everyone must be as broke as I am!

After 45 years at this game I can't think of anything else.

I certainly don't NEED anything further, but that doesn't mean I won't buy another one when the funds are available. There's always some new knifemaker coming up with something irresistible!
Anyone?

You all don't have a son who thinks he owns your shop. Man every time something breaks or is n need of repair he is up for buying it. He got me to buy a new brad nailer yesterday. I was shot. My land lord will not put a new AC unit in the shop so I having a new one installed this weekend.
I am playing around with making a new double edge 13" blade. I been working on it for a year or so. Pick it up a little here and there. Just about done. Using an old horse rasp.

DWK I love pig stickers. I have one in the pocket of my doors. Easily reached. I'll have to find a few pic's of knives.

gailt: The Moran is an excellent hunting knife. The wife of one of my best friends asked me about a knife for his birthday. He normally carries an old carbon steel Schrade but it's a big fella---probably a 6-7 inch blade. I suggested to her that you probably don't want to buy a substitute for your husband's favorite old hunting buddy, but a SUPPLEMENT would likely go over well. I ordered a Moran for her to give him. He liked it a lot and uses it regularly. No conflict with "old reliable" because the smaller, thinner-bladed Moran fills a slightly different role.
DaveHawk: Pig stickers rule! We would love to see some photos! I always feel bad for asking because I don't own a digital camera and don't post photos of my own hardware. However, a shutterbug pal is going to be staying with me and he has one of those Canon digital pro cameras that runs $6-7K for just the body. His girlfriend has a compact digital. Between the two of them, I ought to be able to put up a few images.
