Here is my latest mount from a buck I took here in Indiana in '07. I wanted something different so I decided on a pedestal mount. I made the pedestal myself from a cedar I cut down. I took the buck with my T/C Encore ML.

Very nice deer. I like the idea of the pedestal.

Holy Moley!!!
I like it all, the buck and the new house. :D
While I'm not a big fan of pedestal mounts, the rack on that buck is awesome, a really good one.
... as is the stonework on the fireplace. Very nice. Did you do it yourself?
... and what's the little box in the corner above the buck?
... and the deck. Is it enclosed?
... one more. Why is the a/c return vent right in the doorway?
very nice.

Thanks...
I didn't do the stonework but did design the fireplace and my entire man cave. It's a 24X24 man cave with a 12X24 over head loft. I did however build the porch which is screened in and finished in cedar.
The little box above the buck is an IR motion detector for the home security system.
The vent in the floor is actually a supply, not a return. It's located in front of a fixed pane panel. The door to the porch is actually left of that pane.
Here's a outside view of the stone work. Oh, the porch has doors now;)
and the deck, yes cedar as well LOL

HH, Beautiful layout that you have there. I like the woods to the left as a neighbor too. When I go to the deer shows a pedestal mount really stands out from the rest of the full upright mounts. It is a very unique way of putting a deer head on a pedestal figuratively and literally. Nicely portable too. One of my best selling jobs ever was to get the deer head into the family room. If Sweetness hadn't been out voted, she would have opted for it being in the fireplace instead of over it.
